Charles Passe Scholarship
for Post-High School Education
Scholarships available annually to students desiring an education from vocational, trade, and technology schools.
Charles Passe began his association with Christ the King Parish in 1981 after moving from Minnesota to Tucson, then to Mesa where he continued his love of woodworking.
Mr. Passe set up this endowment in 1994, and his commitment to young people and their success lives on through this endowed scholarship. Any Christ the King registered parishioner that is pursuing post-high school trade, vocational or technology education (IT, automotive, dental, construction are a few examples) is eligible. The size of the award will be based on the number of qualified applicants.
Scholarship
- One scholarship will be awarded each year.
- The scholarship is up to $4000 per year.
- Only for vocational, trade and technology school.
- May be renewed annually (maximum of 4 years)
The Charles Passe Scholarship Fund is managed by the Catholic Community Foundation for Christ the King Parish.

Eligibility
- Registered parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Parish
- 14-30 years of age
- Meet eligibility requirements at selected school.
Application
- Applications are available in the Parish Office or print the form below.
- Applications are due to the Parish Office by April 15, 2025
- Due with the application is one letter of recommendation from the pastor or parish representative and two letters of recommendations from past or present employers or teachers.
- One typed essay of no more than 250 words of why you wish to be considered for this scholarship.
